There are so many ways to get learning with us!

Thank you for your interest in booking an experience with CPAWS Southern Alberta.

Here is some important information you need to know before you book:

  • We require a non-refundable 15% deposit with a credit card to book. You can pay the remaining cost after the program is complete by credit card, EFT, or cheque.
  • Available dates are shown in the calendars with green boxes.
  • Please fill out the questionnaire after booking so we can gather important information about your booking.
  • You will receive discounts by booking multiple classes/groups.
  • One "class" or "group" can have up to 34 people total, including proper adult to minor ratios.
  • We can typically accommodate two classes/groups per day for outdoor programs. To add more groups/dates, click "Continue Shopping".
  • If you book the Community Science classroom ($175) and field study ($175) together, you can receive both for $250! Use the code COMMSCI at checkout to receive the $100 discount.
  • To break down barriers to access, we strive to fundraise to cover the program costs for non-profit New Canadian adult and youth groups. Please use the code NEWCANADIAN at checkout to have the program fees removed.
  • Adult non-profit groups can receive a 50% discount off of Professional Learning Experiences. Use the code NONPROFIT at checkout.
  • Looking for programs for southern Alberta, including hikes at Castle and Beauvais Provincial Parks? Please contact us directly at education@cpaws.org.
  • We have now set-up back-up locations for all our hiking trails in case of trail closures or local, inclement weather. This will allow us to pivot to a nearby trail without having to cancel your booking. Please confirm the back-up plan with your bus company and school board, as required. The location pairings are as follows:
      • Ribbon Creek (Coal Mine Scar, Troll Falls) <–-> Yamnuska
      • Foran Grade <–-> Brown Lowery
      • Fish Creek <–-> Nose Hill

(i.e., if you are booked at Yamnuska and the trail closes for your hike day, we would move the program to Ribbon Creek and vice versa. )
