Did you know that the federal government just announced a massive injection of new funding for conservation projects across the country?
The funding is aimed at helping Canada meet its commitment to protect 17 percent of terrestrial areas by 2020, and commits $175-million to help support 67 conservation projects over four years as part of the Nature Fund Challenge.
This funding will support the protection of Canada’s ecosystems, landscapes and biodiversity including species at risk. It is available to non-profit and Indigenous organizations, provinces and territories, and others.
