Our End of Year Celebration returns, this time with a parks-themed twist.
Join CPAWS Southern Alberta for an evening celebrating, understanding the threats facing, and inspiring each other to continue protecting Alberta’s parks!
Date: November 18, 2026
Time: 6PM onwards
Location: Festival Hall, Inglewood | 1215 10 Ave SE, Calgary
We’ll be featuring a panel of speakers with expertise on conservation, recreation, outdoor access, and Indigenous connection to the land and, together, we’ll explore opportunities for Albertans to come together and oppose the many and varied threats currently facing Alberta’s parks, public lands and protected areas.
Speakers include our own Conservation Campaign Specialist Emma Hoskins, Thana Boonlert — Arc’teryx Alberta ambassador, Protect our Winters volunteer, and co-founder of The Guud Trail.
Alongside a facilitated discussion, there will also be an opportunity for the audience to ask the panellists questions.
As always, we’ll have free and delicious sweet and savoury snacks on offer, and there will be both non-alcoholic and alcoholic beverages, including beer courtesy of Born Brewing Co. here in Calgary. (Each ticket comes with one free drink!)
We hope to see you there!
Note that we offer tickets on a sliding scale, so that you can pay what you’re comfortable with — no ticket comes with ‘more’ or offers a different seating selection/experience. As always, if cost is a barrier, please don’t hesitate to reach out to communicationssab@cpaws.org.
