Join Leroy Little Bear at Keeping it Wild Soiree

A respected scholar and founder of the Native American Studies Department at the University of Lethbridge, Leroy Little Bear has spent a lifetime advocating for Indigenous rights and self-governance, and his achievements led to an appointment as Officer of the Order of Canada in January.

He’s also an advocate for conservation and a key member of the Indigenous Wisdom Advisory Panel, which provides advice and insight to Alberta’s Chief Scientist on how to incorporate Indigenous perspectives into environmental monitoring.

Little Bear will be part of an inspiring and diverse panel at our gala, the Keeping it Wild Soiree on March 1, which will also feature poet Lorna Crozier, adventurer Laval St. Germain, Calgary’s own David Gray as MC, plus musical guest Lily String Quartet.

The event will celebrate successes in wild lands and park protection over the past few years, and Little Bear and other panelists will share their knowledge, experience and humour throughout the evening.

Join us at the Keeping it Wild Soiree. Tickets are still available, but they’re going fast!
